Abbey’s Wigwam RV Park was a convenient location for me to work in Brandon, Florida. I stayed here for 3 months and I had easy access to I 4 and I75 for travel to many locations. I even did a little playing at Bush Gardens, the aquarium, and restaurants in the Tampa area. This park was centrally located to all of my excursions work or play.

About
Abbey’s WigWam park is a family friendly RV park that is a short term stay or you can actually live there long term. The short term RVs are reserved for front of the park use and the Long term is typically farther into the park. When you make a reservation be prepared to give all of your information about your RV year, size, # of slide outs, and service requirements (30 amp or 50amp). They will ask for a copy of your DL and credit card # for deposit. This park does run a background check on all their guests.
Amenities
Bath house, Office, WiFi, and onsite Laundry service. Full hook up service.
The office is open most of the time. Usually it is open at regular hours 6 days a week that Tammy herself operates.
They offer public WiFi that is a little overused. So, it is hard to get consistent signal. It is public so not too safe. Use your VPN’s and/or hot spots.
Water, sewage, and electricity are all included in the price.
The maintenance guys are 24/7 if there should be any problems. They come by a couple times a week and pick up your trash from the provided trash can when you move in.
This park is family friendly. Meaning, there are no age restrictions on children.
They are also pet friendly with no breed restrictions.
The RV park has onsite laundry facilities. This is a laundromat so bring your quarters.
This park has 2 bath shower rooms.
There is a clubhouse to meet and greet with your neighbors while playing Foosball, pool, and or basketball.
There are a kids play ground and a lounging area to grill.
Location
This RV park is located near I 4 and I 75 at 9102 Williams Rd, Seffner, FL 33584.
My first day getting my camper down to the RV park was a little crazy with a lot of turns and bumps as they were doing road construction. However, once the construction was over, it was fairly easy to get to. I will say in my travels finding the park, I did notice tents in the woods about 3 miles from the park. However, the park is nestled across from a really nice subdivision. I had to drive through the subdivision to get to the park when the construction was active.
It is off the beaten path, but it is very close to interstates to get to all the attractions like Bush Gardens or the Aquarium. I like a little country with the convenience of city. Great location.
Cleanliness
The 24/7 maintenance crew was always going around the park cleaning up. They religiously come by 2 times a week to pick up your trash. This was a great. No hauling off your trash to the dumpster.
The park was clean and free of floating debris. However, the rugged look of old campers in the long term living area made it appear to be unclean. However, I can say my area on my lot was clean and all my neighbors were clean and tidy as well. In fact, Tammy will come by daily and inspect the visuals of the area. Were there tarps on some campers? Yes. I am guessing those RVs needed some maintenance. Were there old outdated RVs there? Absolutely! It was still clean.
Service
Trash pick up, Electricity, Sewage, and Water full hook ups with 30 or 50 Amp service.

$850 +/mth
$325/weekly

Conclusion
So, Abbey’s Wigwam park is a family and pet friendly park with short term or long term parking for your RV. If you are working in the area, it is an option to live for a reasonable rent with utilities included.
The price has gone up as I paid $750 a month when I stayed. I do notice in the reviews that some people are getting one price for rent when they book and then another different price when they move in. I can’t say that was my experience there. Tammy the manager was very upfront with my obligations and followed through with theirs.
I have also read that some campers looked as if someone tried to break into them. Well, to put it lightly their are security cameras all over the RV park. That was one of my questions before I moved in. I never felt scared in the park. I did feel safe during my 3 month stay there.
Is it a 5 star living area? No! If that is what you are looking for, then I recommend you try another park in the area. You will pay more for an RV Resort. This is an RV park.
Happy Traveling Ya’ll!
Thank you for these details. Your review seems honest and fair. I’m researching areas to stay in the area for a trip later this year, so this helps. What was your experience there with the pets? I understand there are no breed restrictions and is pet friendly. I have two dogs. Do they have a pet area? And do they provide dog bags? One of my main concerns is a safe place for my dogs to get out and exercise, and I worry that it’ll be just a walk-on-a-leash type of exercise for them.
Hi Ryan. I personally did not take any pets with me on this trip. However, I did see many people walking their dogs of all sizes and breeds. There is not a dedicated dog park or dog walking area. Most RV resorts have dog bags. This is an RV park where you have to bring your own. I do know there is a large grass area in the back of the park where most take there animals there. It is a large enough area you would be able to run your dog with a ball or a frisbee. I hope this helps with your decision.
Both my wife and I from time to time watch programs on RVs and what I can say is that these vehicles are pretty amazing especially when you look at the interior. I believe RVs are pretty cool because you get to travel just about anywhere and taking your home with you. Thanks so much for sharing.
Hi Norman, Thank you for the comment. I hope you and your wife get to experience RV traveling at some point. I love taking my little home with me on the road. I enjoy the peace and quiet. I am happy you enjoyed the read. Happy Traveling!
I’ve never been to a campground before, but this article makes me really imagine to go camping in an RV! The pictures of Abbey’s Wigwam RV Park look so cool and the review was really helpful in giving me an idea of what to expect. I especially liked the different activities and amenities that are available, like the pool and sport’s playground courts. I am not a local resident of US but I hope I can find one like that in my home country. Maybe make one for my own in my family’s farmland. Hehehe
Hi Michelle. There are many travelers camping in RV’s in the USA. It is really glamping if you will. A little glamorous camping. Not the usual tent camping. There are also a lot of people living in RV’s full time. You should check out RV resorts. It is pretty amazing. So just to clarify… Abbeys Wigwam park does not have a pool. I wished they did. There are a lot of other campgrounds that do offer that in the area though. They also do not have playground courts. It is a play area and a play room. So, if you visit one day, and I hope you do,… you will more than likely love glamping in an RV resort! Cheers!
Hi Kathleen! Thank you for sharing your experience. I was going to ask why you only gave it a three out of five but as I read your post, I can understand why you did that. My family has gone camping and we are looking for places that we can stay for a longer experience. This sounds like it may be the way to go. I think I would like to go to a place that does not have long-term living RVs. It sounds like you may feel that way as well. Just as you say, it may not look as nice for people who are there all the time. Anyway, thanks for sharing this. I know what to look for in the way of amenities and basics for my family.
Hazel
Hi Hazel. Yes, this was a 3/5 for me because of the Long term camping environment. I really had no problems at this campground and everyone was super nice. So my outlook on the environment or scenery is actually just that. A visual disturbance. Now, this campground does help a lot of people to live comfortably at a reasonable price. It is quiet, however no pool or a large play area for children. There is a large field in the back big enough to run your dog or play with your children. Overall, I had a good experience there. I would stay there again if I was working there again. It was central to everything. Happy traveling!
I appreciate this very much. I’m looking for RV campgrounds near my mom in Florida, specifically RV campgrounds that can also convert into a long-term living arrangement, as I’m considering staying for longer periods of time. Some of the highlights you’ve listed here are definitely things on my list. Thanks again for the info!
You’re welcome Debra. I hope you find the perfect spot for your visit. Let me know if I can offer any insight in the future. I will be glad to help.
